Germany’s Mick Schumacher continues his role as reserve driver and will make his debut at the Goodwood Festival in a special way in one of his father Michael Schumacher’s cars.
A few weeks ago, Mick Schumacher got behind the wheel of the Mercedes W14 for the first time during the Pirelli test in Barcelona after the Spanish Grand Prix. Now the German is continuing his role as reserve driver and will make his debut at the Goodwood Festival in a very special way in one of his father Michael Schumacher’s cars.
The car chosen for the occasion is a Mercedes W02, the second car designed and built by the Brackley-based team in Formula 1 after taking over Brawn GP at the end of the 2009 season, driven by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. The car scored regular points throughout the year, although it remains the only Mercedes car to date that failed to finish on the podium. It’s best result: fourth place in the Canadian Grand Prix.
