Myles Lewis-Skelly has been linked with Manchester United, but Arsenal have now taken a clear stance: the 19-year-old will stay.
After losing Lewis Hall, Manchester United have explored the possibility of signing Arsenal’s young rising star instead. United are still determined to sign both a third midfielder and a left-back before the window closes.

The first choice has been Newcastle’s Lewis Hall – but after selling Anthony Gordon (£69 million), Sandro Tonali (100 million) and now Bruno Guimarães to Arsenal for 75 million, Newcastle have put their foot down.
According to our insider Graeme Bailey, Newcastle flatly refuse to sell their left-back – they won’t even put a price on him. Thus, United will have to turn to other options.
Lewis-Skelly on the radar
According to The Independent , Arsenal’s Lewis-Skelly is more than just an interesting name for United:
“The Old Trafford management has long been interested in Lewis-Skelly, and wants to test whether Arsenal are willing to negotiate – especially given the English champions’ plans for major investments in the coming weeks.
Arsenal are working on signing Bruno Guimarães, as well as chasing both Vinícius Junior and perhaps also Julián Álvarez. If all three signings become a reality, one or two departures may be necessary to balance the accounts.
This is where United have seen their hope. Sources have previously suggested that Arsenal would demand around £60m for Lewis-Skelly if they reluctantly let him go.
Arsenal: “Not for sale”
But according to the latest from Football Insider , Arsenal will not release their academy product:
“Arsenal have no intention of making money on young Lewis-Skelly this summer,” sources confirm to Football Insider. The 19-year-old has become a target for Manchester United in recent weeks, but the Gunners will not consider letting him go.
The club is also clear that they do not want to lose players to a direct rival like Manchester United this summer.
Mikel Arteta sees Lewis-Skelly as a key piece in his project for 2026/27, following several impressive performances in midfield towards the end of last season.
According to The Independent , it is rather players like Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyökeres that Arsenal are more open to letting go this summer.
