Sevilla are chasing Scottish goal machine – Robbie Ure could be the sensation of the year
The Andalusian giants have their sights set on the future – and have singled out one of Europe’s most exciting strikers as their next main target.
Robbie Ure, the 22-year-old Scottish striker, has received a concrete offer from Sevilla FC to become the club’s new signing during the August window. The striker plays big in Allsvenskan with 15 goals and 2 assists in 15 games for IK Sirius – and has a contract with the Swedes until December 2029.

The Spanish club is already in negotiations with league boss Sirius, who wants around 10 million euros for their top scorer. However, Sevilla will have to outperform both European rivals and a price tag that is double the player’s estimated market value of €5 million.

José Ignacio Navarro, sporting director of Sevilla, has put Ure high on his wish list to strengthen his attacking line. The club plans to leverage the sales of Juanlu Sánchez and Djibril Sow to create room for manoeuvre in the budget so that they can move forward with new signings.
Ure is 1.89 meters tall, and in the current Allsvenskan season he has scored an average of one goal per game. His performances have been crucial for Sirius to lead the series with a 14-point lead over number two – and they are chasing their first league title ever.
The Scot also has two assists, meaning he has been directly involved in 17 of the team’s goals in 15 games. He’s a classic centre-forward, but with his physique and strength, he’s just as good at running deep as he is at taking part in the build-up play when the team wins the ball.
Sirius paid approximately €750,000 for Ure when they signed him from Anderlecht in March 2025. A transfer of close to 10 million euros would have given the Swedes a profit of over thirteen times the investment – in less than a year and a half.

Allsvenskan drives up the price
Sevilla are far from alone in their interest. Chelsea and Manchester City have also made contact to explore the terms of a possible deal – although both clubs are currently only considering a loan after securing the rights to the player.
Lecce have already made a bid of around €4 million, but it was rejected by Sirius. In addition, Hoffenheim, Olympique Lyon, Strasbourg, Galatasaray and several Premier League clubs have followed the striker closely throughout the last few months.
The competition gives Sirius a strong negotiating position. With a contract until 2029, they are not forced to sell before the deadline expires – and can therefore demand a sum that is in line with the performance and interest around the player.
From Rangers academy to possible LaLiga debut
Robbie Ure was born in Glasgow and grew up in Rangers’ youth department, where he also made his debut for the first team in 2022. He has represented Scotland at age-specific levels, before leaving his home country to continue his career in Belgium.
The road went to Anderlecht, but there was mostly play on the reserve team. It was only in Sweden that he really found continuity – and became the top scorer in a professional league even before the age of 23.
Now the Sevilla offer could open the door to LaLiga. But the deal depends on whether the Spanish club is willing to meet Sirius’ price demands. The question is whether Sevilla increase their bid or include variables to go past Chelsea, Manchester City and all the others queuing up for Robbie Ure.
