Elliot Anderson is history at Nottingham Forest. The England international has yet to sign, but when Manchester City and Manchester United both decide to sign the 23-year-old, and City hit bids of over £120m, then it inevitably goes towards exit. Now it’s all about Forest squeezing out the last million pounds – and securing a replacement who can fill the void left by their new star. This is located in Tottenham, it is reported.
In his debut season at Tottenham in 2024/25, Lucas Bergvall played his way into one of Europe’s best young midfielders, with the Swede helping Tottenham to the Europa League title. Then came “everyday life” last season, where a tough ankle injury and 1 poor goal in 33 games mirrored Tottenham’s horribly weak season.

Nottingham Forest see Lucas Bergvall as top replacement for Elliot Anderson
As a 20-year-old, Bergvall has already been through periods with three different Tottenham coaches, where it started with solid playing time at Postecoglou, then a smaller role under Thomas Frank. The Swede was barely on the pitch with Roberto de Zerbi at the helm in the last games of the season.
The Swede has clearly realized that he will not be bet on as much by Roberto de Zerbi. According to The Athletic , the 20-year-old has told Tottenham that he “wants new challenges”.
