The English media was not slow to point out lessons from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, when former assistant coach Michael Carrick was given the task of saving Manchester United after 14 months with Ruben Amorim’s formation principles that did not yield success in the Premier League. Because Carrick created a completely different energy from the first training, gave the players a football and coaching that won games – to 3rd place in the league and a Champions League ticket. Now Carrick also talks about communication with his former boss, Solskjaer.
“He sends messages quite often and offers congratulations to the team,” Carrick told TV2.

And adds that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has greatly influenced him as a coach.
“I’ve learned so much from Ole. I’ve known him for 20 years now. I got to know him even better when he was manager here,” Carrick said.

That said, there was a clear pattern in Solskjaer’s idea, with the team seemingly devoid of structure as soon as any new signings were made. Against Leeds, Carrick showed he had worked under Solskjaer, as the Norwegian’s best wins came against Leeds.”

We have throughout much of Ten Hag’s and Amorim’s reign at Old Trafford shouted “Time to call Solskjaer!”, but now know that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not left Old Trafford. This time he is “involved” in lifting the club in his heart through Michael Carrick.
