Enrique “not surprised” by Arsenal’s Premier League victory!
Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique says he is “not surprised” that Arsenal have won the Premier League under Mikel Arteta – just before the two teams meet in the Champions League final.
The two Spanish coaches will meet in European football’s biggest club match as PSG try to defend the trophy they won last season.

Arsenal arrive at the final full of confidence, after securing their first league title in 22 years. Enrique now praises the work Arteta has done in North London.
Enrique praises Arteta’s importance to Arsenal
Before the final, Enrique stated that Arsenal fully deserve their national success, after they beat back competition from Manchester City.
“I’m not surprised, especially considering what he’s accomplished this year,” Enrique said.
“They are worthy winners of the Premier League – they have been the best team in the league. It wasn’t easy, with Manchester City on their heels.”
“Arteta has been there for six and a half years and he knows the club inside out.”
PSG focus on defending Champions League title
Enrique was also asked for comments from Arteta, with the Arsenal manager suggesting that his team believes they can win the Champions League.
The PSG manager insisted that his team does not need any extra motivation before the final.
“I don’t think there’s any better motivation than winning the Champions League,” Enrique added.
“But we’ll see. We’ll see who wins.”
“We’ve won our leagues, and I want to focus on what’s best for our team.”

PSG aim to repeat their semi-final success
The teams met in the semi-finals of the 2024/25 tournament, as PSG secured a 3-1 aggregate victory on their way to lifting the trophy.
Enrique acknowledged that the teams know each other well, but stressed that finals are often unpredictable.
“This is an opponent we know very well,” he said.
“We played them last year and the year before.”
“I think we can adjust our performance both front and back, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
“When it comes to dealing with a final, it’s different. It’s about making the most of the moment – because for the Champions League final, you never know when you’re going to come back.”
