The transfer of Swedish striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool has been a tragedy and the player that Newcastle brought in as a replacement for some of the money. Alexander Isak has not come close to being able to defend the €145 million that Liverpool paid last summer.
The Athletic: Newcastle want to sell Wissa
Yoane Wissa was signed from Brentford for £55 million last summer. The striker would then replace Alexander Isak, who was sold to Liverpool.

But Newcastle are already open to selling the 29-year-old.
The Athletic reports that the Magpies will do their best to find a buyer for Wissa, who has only made 24 appearances for the club so far. In these games, he has scored three goals.

The striker himself is said to want to stay, unlike his final months at Brentford where he pushed hard for a transfer.
Besides Brentford, Wissa has also represented FC Lorient and Angers in France, among others.
