Bruno Fernandes’ importance to Manchester United cannot be overstated. The Manchester United star is just one assist away from equalling the record for a single season, with only Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry having 20 assists in the same season. Earlier this year, Jürgen Klopp named Fernandes Premier League Player of the Year for the role he has played at Manchester United in the climb up the table, Michael Carrick agreed after the 2-1 win against Brentford.

On Monday night, Fernendes contributed another assist when he set up Benjamin Sesko to make it 2-0. It ended up being the decisive goal as United won against Brentford and came closer to securing a Champions League ticket for next season.

-He deserves it (the “Player of the Year” award) for the impact he has had and the moments he has created, whether it is by setting up goals, scoring himself or contributing in other ways to the group. He’s had a great season,” Michael Carrick said according to Sky Sports.

It’s probably not just Klopp and Carrick who think the United captain deserves the award.
