Sunday was the last Premier League game for Manchester City and the rest of the competition. Erling Haaland was not on the pitch, but what did it matter. The 25-year-old had already secured the Golden Boot award in the world’s toughest league. Impressive in itself, if you add that this was the third time since the 2022/23 season, then it is simply gigantic!
Haaland finished the season with 27 goals, five more than Brentford’s Igor Thiago, while teammate Antoine Semenyo follows with 17 goals.

In both the 2022-23 season and the 2023-24 season, the Norwegian international striker also won the title. Here it was with 36 and 27 goals respectively. Sergio Agüero stands as City’s big goal guarantor with his 260 goals in the sky blue shirt, but only won 1 Golden Boot (2014/15 with 26 goals). This tells what an extreme achievement “our man” is behind.
We congratulate Haaland, and love the entrance to Norway’s World Cup finals in a few weeks.
