Luke Shaw is the Manchester United player who has received perhaps the most hype in the English media in recent seasons. It has almost become a sport to describe the 31-year-old as slow and not well adapted to the pace and intensity of modern football. Still, with Shaw injury-free, there is no doubt who has been the first choice at left-back. Last season, the former England international was involved from the start in every Premier League match. Now it is reported that it is coming to a natural end at Old Trafford.
Shaw has impressively played for Manchester United since 2014, and has seen nine (!) Man Utd coaches come and be sacked.

With his contract expiring in the summer of 2027, the 31-year-old is in his final season, according to Teamtalk’s sources , United management is only willing to offer a shorter extension. The expectation internally is that the left-back will be applauded at the end of the season.
This means that Manchester United will bring in Shaw’s replacement in January, with Crystal Palace player Tyrick Mitchell being one of the top candidates. The 27-year-old is also on an expiring contract, which will give United the opportunity to negotiate a price in January.
