Manchester United are cleaning up their squad, but do not seem to be gaining momentum in the transfer market. Before the World Cup, both Bild and German Sky Sports linked the Premier League giant to Julian Ryerson. The Norwegian international is seen as a real competitor to Diogo Dalot at right-back, but a Ryerson signing for United is contingent on a player sale. Now it is reported that Ruben Amorim, of all people, can clear space for Ryerson at Old Trafford.
Because a Ryerson signing is dependent on Noussair Mazraoui being sold. The 28-year-old had a frighteningly weak season in a United shirt, with only 10 Premier League games from the start. Without even close to giving Dalot a real competition and United the necessary, constant punch on the right.

Julian Ryerson played his way onto United’s radar after a terrific final season at Borussia Dortmund, with his uncompromising defending, guts and extreme attacking qualities with a wild 18 assists in 42 games as a right-back. In other words, a player Manchester United really needs.
According to transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, former Manchester United coach Ruben Amoroim is working to bring Mazraoui to AC Milan this summer. As United coach, the Portuguese used the Moroccan international for 49 games, a type of player that clearly lends itself to Amorim football.

Manchester United had another opportunity to see Julian Ryerson in action against England in the quarter-finals. Here, star Anthony Gordon really got to work against Ryerson. Last game, it was Vinicius Jr. who got stuck on the edge against the Norwegian right-back.
With Mazraoui on a potential move to AC Milan, the door could be opened for Julian Ryerson. We love it!
