Nico Gonzalez is moving to league rivals Newcastle United.
“I’m really happy to be here at this fantastic club. I’ve only heard positive words about the club and the city, so I’m very excited to live here and be a part of this project,” the 24-year-old said in a statement.
Gonzalez – who also has a background at FC Barcelona – joined City from Porto during the winter of 2025 and has since made 59 appearances for the club.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the price lands at £47 million, plus £3 million in bonuses.
