On Monday, German Sky Sports reported that Bayern Munich had flashed Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon as a strong candidate to further strengthen Kompany’s attacking machine. Now it follows up on the ball island with more details.

Because according to the Times , the 25-year-old’s representatives have already been in contact with the Bayern management. This has been set in motion, but the English newspaper reports that there are still no concrete talks between the clubs.

In February 2026, he became the club’s all-time  top scorer in the Champions League after surpassing Alan Shearer’s record. He also became the first Newcastle player to score in three consecutive games in the tournament and the first to score four goals in a single European game (against Qarabağ).

According to Sky Sports, the German big club is ready to pay up to 70 million euros for the Englishman. The England international has been touted as the perfect competitor to Luis Diaz, who will give the left winger another boost. Newcastle are not interested in selling Gordon, but with what looks set to be an upcoming season without a ticket to play in Europe, the club could open up for sale if Bayern Munich make a significant bid, aiming for €70+ million.
