Finally, things have loosened up for Chelsea legend Frank Lampard also as manager. – He is about to lift the classic club Coventry up to the Premier League and with that aroused interest from several bigger clubs. – There is talk of Chelsea despite two rather hopeless attempts in the past and that current manager Liam Rosenior has not been sacked yet.
What is relevant, however, is Bournemouth, who have just confirmed they will lose their very popular manager after the season.
Lampard in the running for Bournemouth
Frank Lampard is about to lead Coventry up to the Premier League. But when the next season kicks off in August, the Englishman could be on the sidelines of a competitor.
The I Paper reports that the 47-year-old is being considered by Bournemouth following Tuesday’s announcement that Andoni Iraola will leave the club in the summer. Rayo Vallecano’s Iñigo Pérez will also be on the wish list.
Talksport claims that German coach Marco Rose, who is currently clubless, is the leading candidate for the job.
Lampard has been in charge of Coventry since November 2024. The club leads the Championship by a margin of ten points down to second-placed Ipswich, with four league rounds left to play.
In the past, the icon has been in charge of teams such as Everton, Derby and Chelsea, where he spent most of his playing career.
