Kylian Mbappe’s arrival at the Bernabeu has not had the desired effect, Real Madrid are really struggling this season under Carlo Ancelotti. His side are already four points behind bitter rivals Barcelona in the La Liga table, while a devastating 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday night has weakened their hopes of progressing to the next round.
Fifteen-time champions Madrid have picked up just six points from their first five games in Europe and are down to 24th place in the table, with just three games left in the league phase of the Champions League.
Mbappe had a penalty saved in the defeat to Liverpool and had further chances to score limited by young Reds defender Conor Bradley.

How much has Mbappe cost Madrid?
While Mbappe did not cost Madrid a transfer fee, the Spanish club gave him a whopping £128 million registration fee to join from PSG to be paid over five years, according to the BBC.
He has already earned around £12.8 million of this bonus payment, based on how long he has been at the club – although it has not been confirmed how often the winger will receive bonus payments, other than that they are spread out over the course of his five-year deal.
Mbappe is also said to have a salary of around £250,000 per week in the Spanish capital.
He has been at Madrid for just under 26 weeks, having joined at the beginning of June – meaning he has earned around £6,375,000 in wages since signing for the club.
Combining his supposed sign-up bonus to this point and his weekly salary, Mbappe is estimated to have earned around £16.4 million since joining Madrid.
So far, he has scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Madrid, meaning he has potentially cost the club as much as £1.8 million per goal scored.
