In the podcast Quien Marca Gana, the Spanish coach talks about his time at Barcelona. Here he highlights several things that made the head coach position at Barcelona very difficult. At his previous club, Real Betis, Setien had the dressing room under control. However, the same cannot be said about his time at Barcelona.

“Everyday life in the dressing room (at Betis) had been absolutely fantastic, absolutely fantastic. It wasn’t like that in everyday life at Barcelona. I have a lot of anecdotes that I don’t want to tell. It was very complicated and I didn’t feel very good. I didn’t like being at that club as much as I should have,” Setien begins.
“I couldn’t be myself, or I couldn’t be. That’s the answer. I wasn’t myself because I’m not like that. I had a certain expression, and when I see pictures of myself from that period, I can’t recognize myself,” Setien says according to Mundo Deportivo.
