Julian Nagelsmann is finished as German national team coach. The confirmation of what “everyone” knew, came on Friday. Now the German Football Association wants to remove all doubts about the process going forward, where Germany’s football pride must be repaired – and that already for the European Championship. In an unusually candid statement about the process behind the scenes, it is confirmed that Jürgen Klopp is ready.

Jürgen Klopp left Liverpool in 2024 after nine successful years. For the past year, he has been the big boss of Red Bull’s football venture, and along the way has certainly made himself unpopular with RB Leipzig’s rivals (definitely with his old club Borussia Dortmund). What the critics have to admit, however, is that Klopp is considered one of the world’s best coaches, the option the German Football Association has tried to persuade for a long, long time to lead Die Mannschaft.
