The opening round of the Premier League 2026/27 kicks off on Friday 21 August 2026, while the final league round will be played on Sunday 30 May 2027 – then, as usual, with all matches at the same time.
A trend that has increased in recent years is two screens at the same time, watching matches and playing on mobile at the same time casino and skill games are particularly popular. Casinos have the overview and advice that makes mobile even more entertaining, secure and possibly lucrative.
Since the 2017/18 season, it has been between two clubs. Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have won six titles, while Jürgen Klopp and Arne Slot have led Liverpool to two more. Last season, it was finally their turn for the Arsenal supporters. Martin Ødegaard had led the Gunners to three second-place finishes in the Premier League, in the 2025/26 season the London club went all the way to the title.
Ahead of the 2026/27 season, reigning Premier League champions Arsenal are big favourites and everyone is measuring themselves against them.
The World Cup is over, now the next Premier League season is fast approaching, and all the predictions point in one direction: Arsenal are the team to beat. After breaking a 22-year title drought last season, expectations are sky-high at the Emirates.
The title fight: Arsenal’s to lose?
Both bookmakers and experts are almost unanimous in their prediction. Arsenal’s chances of defending the gold are considered very good. A supercomputer has calculated that they have a whopping 45 percent probability of winning the league again, with an expected points haul of 88 points.
The bookmakers also have the Gunners as clear favourites with the chance to win the Premier League at around 6/4. There is a broad consensus that Mikel Arteta has put together the best and broadest squad in the league, which enables the Gunners to handle both the wear and tear and the pressure that comes with being the reigning champions – and title contenders in every competition the club enters.
The Challengers: City, Liverpool and the Blues
However, there are several clubs that can stop Arsenal.
- Manchester City: Despite entering a new era without Pep Guardiola, with Enzo Maresca at the helm, they are ranked as the biggest threat. The bookmakers give City the chance to win at around 5/2, but the predictions point to second place with 85 points.
- Liverpool: With Andoni Iraola as the new manager, they are expected to fight at the top. The predictions place them in third place.
- Chelsea: Under Xabi Alonso, it is predicted that they will secure the fourth Champions League spot.
Other predictions: Managers, relegation and more
The season also offers several other interesting predictions:
Top 4 match: There is an expectation that Manchester United could miss out on the top 4, mainly due to concerns about the width of the squad. What do we think about this year’s Premier League season?
Eight new and almost completely new managers: A number of big clubs have new managers, including Manchester United (Michael Carrick), Tottenham (Roberto De Zerbi), Liverpool (Andoni Iraola) and Chelsea (Xabi Alonso). We have previously seen clubs such as Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea press the “panic button” early on and sack the coach during the season. Who risks being fired first?
Roberto de Zerbi is held by bookmakers and experts as the coach in the most vulnerable position of the four, if results are not forthcoming. Tottenham’s history shows that the manager must succeed in the Premier League from the start.
Relegation battle: The predictions for the bottom of the table are gloomy for the three newly promoted teams. Hull City, Coventry City and Ipswich Town are all predicted to be relegated straight back.
Could come a surprising winner in the Premier League!! -Tottenham, who have scraped the bottom of the table two seasons in a row, have so far this summer bought players for €267 million, with manager Roberto De Zerbi being in the picture all the way. They are still not done after bringing in players like Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. The north London club are in the transfer market and are vying for one or two more superstars with an additional budget of €100 million. Tottenham have strengthened this summer with players who have all delivered very convincingly in the Premier League for their former clubs.
De Zerbi led Brighton to a historically strong 6th place in the Premier League in his first season, if the Italian succeeds from the start at Tottenham, he has a squad that can fight for a place at the very top. If Tottenham succeed throughout the season, the London club could be the big surprise in the 2026/27 Premier League season.
