At the World Cup, the Liverpool team is keeping a close eye on the performances of two wingers in particular. The Premier League club is facing the almost impossible task of replacing Salah, the player with 257 goals and 123 assists in 442 games in the red shirt. This week, there are reports that both Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola will not end up at Anfield. For us, it is then natural to go directly at the player a little further down the list, a 21-year-old who is available for “only” 60 million euros.

There were many Norwegian Liverpool supporters who smiled, when journalist Mark Douglas in The i Paper in May reported Liverpool had Antonio Nusa on their radar. The winger has impressed on the Norwegian national team. In the RB Leipzig shirt since 2024, Nusa has also shown parts of the enormous potential. Liverpool supporters have this season been missing a player with dribbling skills who add speed to the team in “full throttle” football, Norwegian Reds supporters have missed a Norwegian player at Anfield, the last man was Johan Arne Riise until 2008.

Liverpool have been working hard in recent months to sign Nusa’s teammate at RB Leipzig, but this week it has been reported that PSG and Yan Diomande have agreed on personal terms. Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director, on the other hand, promises that the 19-year-old will not be sold this summer anyway. That was the top candidate. Now to the next man on the list, Bradley Barcola.

According to David Ornstein at The Athletic , Liverpool will not land on the signing of the French PSG player either:

“Paris Saint-Germain does not consider Bradley Barcola for sale, regardless of arrivals + reluctance to sign new contract. The PSG value of the 23-year-old is much higher than the £116 million MCFC spend on Anderson. Ramos, Lee and Kolo Muani are leaving the club to create squad and financial space,” Ornstein reports.

Okay, then it’s time to go back to the drawing board and bring out the Antonio Nusa name. The 21-year-old is a player who has the speed, twitch, technique and finishing Liverpool need on the wing, at around half the price of Diomande and Barcola. Go ahead for Nusa signing, ed!
