Tottenham are far from done in the summer transfer window – and now they could go after a Premier League striker called Omar Marmoush. Roberto De Zerbi wants reinforcements in attack, and the City star is a hot name on the list.
Spurs have already spent over £235 million this summer, with major investments in Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke. In addition, they have made some smart bargains, such as the free transfers of Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson.
But it’s not over yet. Roberto De Zerbi is hoping to sign a striker before the window closes, and Manchester City star Savinho has long been a target. Now, however, it could be one of the Brazilian’s teammates who ends up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
De Zerbi: “We need a bomb!”
De Zerbi spoke to Football.London this week and made no secret of the fact that the club is still on the hunt:

According to the same sources, De Zerbi is a “big admirer” of Marmoush, who is a potential target alongside Savinho. It will probably be one of them – City are unlikely to sell both attackers to the same club.
Marmoush can be expensive
Marmoush joined City in 2025 from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million, and has since scored 10 goals in 37 league games. He is first and foremost a central striker, but can also play on the wing – a versatility Tottenham will greatly appreciate.
City will probably demand big money to release the 27-year-old, and want enough profit on the investment. In addition, the salary is a challenge: Marmoush currently earns £250,000 a week – a sum Spurs will have to match, or perhaps even increase.

Tottenham have already broken records this summer – but the ENIC are clearly not done. The question is whether it will be Savinho, Marmoush – or someone else entirely. One thing is for sure: De Zerbi wants his striker, and he wants him now.
