Carlos Espí ready for Real Madrid – signs five-year contract

Carlos Espí is leaving Levante for Real Madrid. The Spanish giants confirm that the 21-year-old has signed a deal that binds him to the club until 2031.

Real Madrid CF and Levante UD have agreed on the transfer, and Espí will thus be a Madrid player for the next five seasons.

Espí has represented Spain at U19 and U20 level. He spent three seasons at Levante, where he played 66 games and scored 20 goals. Last season, he was named LaLiga’s best U23 player – a clear indication of his talent.

Levante’s biggest sale ever

Levante themselves confirm that the transfer is the club’s biggest sale of a self-developed player in history. It underlines the extraordinary potential of the Valencian striker.

Espí joined Levante in the summer of 2022 as a second-year youth player and immediately became a key player for the Juvenil A team in the División de Honor. He contributed decisively to a historic season that ended with a league title.

He made his debut for the first team on February 18, 2024, in the match against Racing de Ferrol. The following season, he played a prominent role in Levante’s promotion to LaLiga EA Sports – making 36 appearances and scoring six goals in LaLiga Hypermotion.

In his first season in the top division, he played 25 games, scored 11 goals and became Levante’s top scorer.
