The 22-year-old is now travelling to London to undergo a medical test and sign a long-term contract with Spurs.

The transition has been over a year in the making. Tottenham already tried to sign the Brazilian last summer, but then he chose to stay at City. However, playing time was limited under Pep Guardiola – only seven league starts last season.

Spurs continue to spend money

Roberto De Zerbi has already spent £185 million on midfielders Mateus Fernandes (West Ham) and Sandro Tonali (Newcastle). Now Savinho is the next piece in the attacking line.

But Tottenham are hardly done. According to BBC Sport, talks are also going well for Savinho’s City teammate Omar Marmoush – the Egyptian, who cost £59 million in 2025, fell outside City’s hierarchy last season.

Spurs are also still interested in Liverpool striker Cody Gakpo, but it is unclear whether they can afford to sign him, Marmoush and Savinho.
