Sebastian Kehl has been one of the most high-profile sporting directors in Europe, and has been part of Dortmund’s strokes of genius in the transfer market, which has brought in some of the biggest talents – and filled the club’s coffers by selling to the giants. In recent months, the lawyers have taken care of the clean-up after Kehl was done at Dortmund, now the settlement is ready.
The shock news came in March, where Kehl left the day. “Borussia Dortmund and Sebastian Kehl have agreed to end their cooperation. This decision was made unanimously by the BVB management and the former sporting director this Sunday,” the club wrote. Kehl took over as sports director in 2022. As a player, he wore the black and yellow shirt for 13 years, making an impressive 748 appearances for Dortmund.

According to Bild , all the details of the severance agreement are in place, with Kehl receiving around 1.5 million euros in compensation for “agreeing to end the collaboration”.
According to Sky Sports , Kehl is a top candidate for the manager’s job at Tottenham, where he, along with Johan Lange, is supposed to build up the squad after some tough seasons of adversity in the Premier League.
