Sam Johnstone was the goalkeeper who was part of Manchester United for 7 years. A period of ten loan spells, a period without a single first-team game for United. Now Tottenham are being linked with the 31-year-old.
Johnstone had plenty of games at West Ham from 2018, then two seasons at Crystal Palace. Since the summer, the English goalkeeper has worn the Wolverhampton shirt with seven appearances so far in the season.
Tottenham go into the transfer window with several challenges, not least in the goalkeeper position. First goalkeeper Gup Guglielmo Vicario is out with a fracture in his foot, the 36-year-old Faser Forster has not been able to cover for this.
According to Football-London, Tottenham have turned to former Manchester United goalkeeper Johnstone, with the London club open up for a loan or permanent transfer.
