It is clear that London club Tottenham do not intend to scrape the bottom of the Premier League table next summer as well. – Players will be traded for large sums of money this summer in order to best allow newly appointed manager Roberto de Serbi to build a winning project.
Not everything is the way I would do it, but still. Sporten.com expert group believe Tottenham will avoid the relegation battle next season, but they will not be close to a gold medal either.

Fabrizio Romano reports that talks are already underway in a transfer worth £60 million.
Tottenham want Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo, and both clubs are now preparing huge double signings for the winger position.
The 27-year-old Gakpo is a player Liverpool are open to selling this summer – despite Mohamed Salah’s departure and Federico Chiesa’s departure. As recently as last week, there were rumours that an “important proposal” could see Liverpool sell the Dutchman.
He explained:
“We’ll have to see what happens around Cody Gakpo if Liverpool receive an important proposal. Because Liverpool want to strengthen their winger positions – they have already lost Mohamed Salah.
“Let’s see if any clubs come up with a proposal for Cody Gakpo, because the interest is there. Then it will be up to Liverpool to decide whether he stays or leaves.
“It will be a club decision, together with coach Andoni Iraola. But don’t forget that Liverpool are very busy with wingers.
Liverpool are chasing stars for almost two billion
Liverpool are currently negotiating with RB Leipzig over a big signing of Yan Diomande, who is priced at 1.1 billion kroner.
The Reds are putting what are referred to as “significant sums” on the table in negotiations on personal terms to get ahead of PSG.
In addition, two key sources have suggested that Liverpool could also bring Bradley Barcola to Anfield in a double deal worth almost two billion kroner.
Of course, this assumes that Gakpo goes. And according to CaughtOffside, the Dutchman could be on his way to Tottenham – as part of the club’s own double investment in wingers.
Tottenham ready with huge bid for Cody Gakpo
Spurs have been given the green light to sign Savinho from Manchester City, and club discussions are progressing.
Gakpo may still be in addition.
“Tottenham are reportedly preparing a big bid for Liverpool striker Cody Gakpo
Leading figures in the industry have confirmed the validity of the claims, but wish to remain anonymous in order to protect relationships.
Gakpo’s future at Liverpool is said to be somewhat uncertain this summer after a dip in form, but the Dutch international still has admirers in the Premier League and Europe.
Our understanding from this morning is that Spurs are leading the race for Gakpo’s signature, and internally they have made plans to offer a package worth around 600 million kroner for the 27-year-old.”
£600m for Gakpo – who didn’t have a good season last year at all – would definitely be the kind of “important proposal” Romano was talking about, and it would bring Liverpool to the negotiating table.
Why Tottenham want Cody Gakpo
An earlier report, reproduced by sister site Football365, shed light on why Tottenham are reportedly going for Gakpo despite struggling last year.
The north London club are determined to add far more experience to a team that has proven fragile in recent seasons.
They get good experience with two-time veterans in defense: Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson. Spurs also want to bring Joao Palhinha back, and they will make a third bid for Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke, who has over 100 Premier League games on his CV.
A Gakpo arrival would fit well with the strategy of giving De Zerbi established Premier League players, and if Spurs make a bid of £600m, Liverpool would almost certainly accept.
Adding fuel to the transfer fire, recent reports in the Netherlands claim that Gakpo “wants to leave” Liverpool – because he reacts strongly to the club’s sacking of his compatriot Arne Slot.
