According to L’Equipe , the Premier League giant has entered into formal talks with Manu Koné’s representatives. He is seen as a “priority target” for the third midfield spot, it is reported.

The French media claims two more clubs, with Arsenal being one of them, are involved in the hunt for Koné’s signature, but United are described as being in the driver’s seat.
The fact that talks have started does not automatically mean that Manchester United have decided to go after Koné, there are several options, but it is an indication that the 25-year-old is a hot candidate. The player himself is said to be eager to continue his career at Old Trafford, it is reported.
Koné, who is under contract with Roma until 2029, made a strong World Cup appearance for France, playing in five games and expected to cost United around £45 million.
