Things are boiling well at AC Milan after losing to Cagliari at the San Siro in the last league game, a loss that cost the club a Champions League ticket. Coach Allegri and the sporting director disappeared out the door, this week Mauricio Pochettino has been reported to be in contact with the Serie A club. The Argentine is busy preparing the U.S. national team for the World Cup on home soil, but should be relevant for Milan. Now comes the announcement of a different route for the Serie A club.
The route changes with Ralf Rangnick. The former Manchester United manager, the one who was supposed to “sort out” and “clean up” after Solskjaer, but who ended up being an embarrassment of an interim coach and removed from the plan to build up the United squad as an advisor, has now been linked to Milan.

Ragnick wanted as a savior
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , the Milan management is considering hiring Ralf Rangnick as sporting director. If it becomes a reality, Mattias Jaissle will be the first priority as the new head coach and not Pochettino, it is reported.
Ralf Rangnick is Austria’s national team coach, and he has made it clear that he will not change jobs before the World Cup (but is available after). Jaissle is the head coach of Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, where he was hired in 2023.
