During the World Cup, Ørjan Nyland was linked to Manchester City. Without a contract and with big games on the biggest stage, it was reported that the 35-year-old had played his way onto the radar of one of the world’s best clubs. James Trafford was on his way to Leeds, now City were chasing a challenger and backup for Donnaroumma. It will not be Nyland. The next City goalkeeper will be brought in from France.
According to Foot Mercato , Manchester City have made a bid of €2 million for Marseille goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli. The 34-year-old could thus make his City debut, nine years after leaving the club.

Because there was no debut in the previous round at City. Since 2017, the Argentine goalkeeper has played for Real Sociedad, Villareal, Ajax and most recently Marseille.
The French club is said to have initially rejected the offer, aiming for 3.5 million euros for the Argentine goalkeeper. The clubs are therefore in dialogue to reach an agreement, but a transfer is still expected to fall into place, as Rulli himself is said to be open to a transfer.
And Ørjan Nyland? He is in negotiations with another big club.
