There is no bad mood at Tottenham, even though the club survived in the Premier League with a cry of distress. Perhaps not so strange, when the supporters have seen Roberto de Zerbi show he was willing to join the club down to the second division and that Spurs have now secured Sandro Tonali for £100 million, Matheus Fernandes for £85 million and Jan Paul van Hecke for £52 million. Prior to this, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi stepped in as free agents. This is not the end of this summer’s shopping spree either, De Zerbi promises.

Roberto De Zerbi has hinted at a “bombshell” move to the Tottenham attack, confirming that the club’s round of hands was only 60% complete, despite breaking the transfer record twice in that period alone.

De Zerbi said: “The transfer market is certainly not over, but we have completed 60% of our project in the transfer market. And now we have a new ‘bomb’.”

According to the Daily Mail’s sources , the big signing he mentioned is not Savinho, the Manchester City winger Tottenham are also chasing.

Asked if the deal was close to being finalised, after he had collected his transfer goals during negotiations with Tottenham representatives, he added: “I hope so, but it’s certainly not over.”

De Zerbi is not a fan of signing anyone other than the chosen ones.

“We want strikers, then we decide their positions. Usually I don’t like to work according to plan A, then plan B, then plan C. I start with plan A, then I stop. Because players are not the same. There are no two identical players,” the Tottenham coach concludes.

Then we are waiting in great anticipation!
