Lewis Hall waits for the green light from Newcastle: “Over 10 percent chance, but not much more”
Manchester United are still on the hunt for a new left-back – and Lewis Hall from Newcastle is at the top of their wish list.
Hall has had a phenomenal development since arriving at St. James’ Park, but Newcastle had a tough season last time. Several key players have already left the club, including Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimarães and Anthony Gordon – and the Magpies are desperate to keep the rest.

“Hall wants to go to United”
Jacobs is clear that Hall’s personal wish is in no doubt:
“If Manchester United agreed a club-to-club deal with Newcastle today, Hall would want the transfer.
But the price is another matter. Jacobs believes it will take at least £75 million to get him away from Tyneside:
“£75 million or more – because we’re so late in the window. I don’t think 45, 55 or 60 million is enough.

Balde also on the radar
Left-back is United’s next priority – after Carlos Baleba signing from Brighton has been completed.
Fabrizio Romano confirms that Alejandro Balde from Barcelona is also an option:
“United have had talks with Balde’s camp in recent days to investigate whether an exit is possible and under what conditions. Balde is happy at Barcelona.
This may raise doubts about how realistic a Hall deal really is.
Less than 10 percent chance
Jacobs is cautiously optimistic, but not convinced:
“There is not a 0 percent chance for Hall, but it is less than 10 percent.
With less than two weeks left in the window, and with Newcastle refusing to sell, United may have to turn to Balde – or other options. The question is whether they are willing to pay 75 million for a player they still have little chance of getting.
