There is little to suggest that Napoli will be able to stop a transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain. – The Serie A leaders are not going to make the same mistake with the Georgian left winger as they did with Victor Osimhen, who is now on loan at Galatasaray.

They were both priced at well over 100 million euros after the 2022/2023 season where Napoli won Serie A. – The fact that they did not sell then and chairman and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis’ quirks have made them both “enemies”. When the accounts are soon settled, Laurentiis will have cost them at least half of the sale price they had on the table for their two biggest stars.

Antonio Conte moves on after being hired in the summer with a purpose, to win Serie A, without looking back choosing Alejandro Garnacho as a replacement for outgoing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Conte confirmed on Saturday that Kvaratskhelia has informed the club that he wants to leave in the January transfer window after leaving him out of Napoli’s matchday for the upcoming Serie A clash against Hellas Verona. Reports in Italy have suggested that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on a deal worth around €70 million.

With Kvaratskhelia on the verge of leaving the club, the Serie A team has started looking for the star striker’s replacements. According to Sport Italia’s Michele Criscitiello, Conte has identified Manchester United’s Garnacho as the perfect option. The report adds that Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna has started working on opening transfer talks with the Red Devils.

Garnacho has seen his playing time reduced under new United boss Ruben Amorim as he has failed to get into the starting line-up in the last four Premier League games. Reports earlier this week claimed that United would listen to offers for academy candidates Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo in a bid to stave off PSR concerns.

For now, the 20-year-old is still focused on his club.
