Last summer, Kevin de Bruyne left the Etihad, it was announced that Bernardo Silva will follow his former Belgian partner this summer. On Thursday, Silva will say an emotional farewell to the supporters, as a dress rehearsal before the last City game sometime in May.

“When I arrived 9 years ago, I followed a little boy’s dream of succeeding in life and achieving great things. This city and this club gave me so much more than that – so much more than I ever hoped for. What we have won and achieved together is a legacy I will always carry in my heart. Centurions (100 points in the Premier League), the domestic Quadruple, The Treble, four championships in a row and much more… It wasn’t too bad,” Bernardo Silva told the club’s website.

The Portuguese giant at 1.73 has been the game-changer in a bunch of games, the 31-year-old himself is behind 76 goals and 77 assists so far.

– To the club, Pep, the staff and all my teammates through these 9 years – thank you for all the memories and for letting me be a part of this journey for so long. The atmosphere we created every day on the training field made me feel at home and part of a big family. Let’s enjoy the last weeks together and fight for what this season can still bring us,” Silva concludes.
