Okay, the final score of 5-0 was ugly for Bodø/Glimt, but Bayern Munich coach Kompany is still mightily impressed with the team that held a 0-0 draw at half-time against Bayern’s world stars.
Before the game, the Bayern coach had stated: “Bodø Glimt is a fantastic story for football. The more you analyse it, the more you discover that it all makes sense. According to their financial muscle, they shouldn’t be able to play with the big teams at all, and they still do. That’s the best compliment you can give them.”

After the game, Vincent Kompany was still deeply impressed with Kjetil Knutsen’s team.
“There are a lot of teams that can learn from them. They have something that is hard to find, namely a complete dedication to the game plan they bring out on the field,” Kompany begins to TV2 after the game.
“They play tactically very smart and know when there is danger and when they have the opportunity to attack. A lot of those things are difficult to train on, but they possess them. I also think they can maintain that level for the full 90 minutes,” the Manchester City legend continues.

“If you look at their budget and financial resources, and at the same time see the image and the level they are able to create, it shows a lot of clubs what is actually possible,” concludes the Bayern Munich coach, who is clearly a fan of Bodø/Glimt.
