Claudio Ranieri never saw himself as a Premier League champion with Leicester, when he took over the coaching job in 2015. Two years later, the Italian was behind perhaps the biggest “football miracle in the Premier League”. Not only did Leicester win the title for the first time in their history, Ranieri, Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel lifted the trophy with a gap of ten points to the next club. Then it is heavy to follow the proud club in recent seasons, where the club is sinking down the league system.

Leicester are currently in a real crisis. On Saturday afternoon, the club had an excellent opportunity to keep their hopes of survival in the Championship when they travelled to Portsmouth. However, it ended in another failure.

At Fratton Park, “The Foxes” lost 0-1 and now need a small miracle to save survival in the Championship. With three rounds to go, there are five more points below the relegation zone, but later on Saturday the gap could be even bigger. A win for West Bromwich, who are just above the line, would result in an eight-point difference between the two teams.

Earlier this year, Leicester were stripped of six points for breaching financial rules, and this could end up meaning relegation to the 3rd division, League One.
