The pundit was very impressed with his old club after Sunday’s game against Aston Villa.
Glenn Hoddle believes Tottenham will be able to salvage their place in the Premier League – after what he describes as a “titanic” performance away to Aston Villa on Sunday night.

Two first-half goals from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison ensured a 2-1 win at Villa Park for Spurs. The result lifted them above West Ham – who lost 3-0 to Brentford on Saturday – and thus out of the relegation place.
Tottenham now lead by one point on their London rivals with just three games left to play. Two of them are at home – where Spurs have not won a league game since the beginning of December.
– A titanic achievement and a titanic result (for those who are wondering, Hoddle in the use of the word titanic does not mean the boat that sank, but gigantic)
Hoddle still saw enough in the away win to be confident in his old club’s chances of picking up points at home against Leeds on Monday night and Everton on the final day of the season.
“Yes, I do,” Hoddle replied when asked on TNT Sports if he thinks Spurs now salvaged their place.
“You asked me the question earlier, and I replied that my heart says they survive, but my head would say no if we lost today.
“This is a titanic achievement and a titanic result. It puts a lot of pressure on the other teams – West Ham down there.
“Every single player was eight out of ten”
Hoddle emphasized the way the team played.
“The way they played today, I think was excellent. Absolutely right tactically, and the players had just the right hunger.
“Every single player was eight or nine out of ten. They were fantastic today. The only negative was the goal they conceded at the very end.
“With the passion and hard work they put in, if they do the same again on Monday night at home, then they will start to get good results in front of their own crowd as well.
With three games left to play, Spurs have the chance to decide their own fate. First up: Leeds at home on Monday in a week’s time.
