It never gets boring around the Uruguayan superstar. The goal machine has made the big headlines over the past two decades in the shirts of Ajax, Liverpool, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and now Inter Miami. On the Uruguayan national team, there have been an impressive 143 caps with 69 goals. Back in 2024, Luis Suarez retired from the Uruguayan national team, but the month before the World Cup finals, the 39-year-old has felt the longing to carry the nation’s flag on his chest in another World Cup.
He slammed the national team door hard when he announced his resignation, choosing to criticize national team coach Marcelo Bielsa by saying that the atmosphere within the team was no longer good. But with the World Cup just around the corner, the legendary striker is ready to help Uruguay make a comeback.
