According to several information to Fotbollskanalen, the club is now in contact with Sarpsborg’s Hampus Andersson.

Daniel Andersson has left his role as sports director at Malmö FF and is now the football manager. Now the club is looking for a new sporting director, and earlier on Saturday, Fotbollskanalen reported that Hammarby’s chief scout Philip Berglund had turned down the job.

Now the hunt continues, and according to several information to Fotbollskanalen, the club has contacted Sarpsborg’s sports director Hampus Andersson.

Andersson has previously worked as a scout in Häcken, and in 2023 he moved to Sarpsborg.

At the beginning of March, Expressen and Norwegian TV2 reported that Hampus Andersson was very relevant to replace Bosse Andersson as sports director in Djurgården. Fotbollskanalen has learned that Andersson is a name that has been discussed in Djurgården, but that he is no longer part of the process.

When it became clear at the turn of the year that Daniel Andersson would have a new role at Malmö FF, the club said that they hoped to have a new sporting director in place “well in advance” before the summer transfer window.
