Everything was in place for Jens Petter Hauge to come “home”, not just for the season. The 25-year-old gave the thumbs up for continuing at Aspmyra rather than returning to Eintracht Frankfurt, the Glimt supporters both gave thumbs up for having Hauge with him next season as well. 8 goals and 5 assists in 28 elite league games contributed greatly to the league gold. It was reported that the Bodø/Glimt management thought the same, a purchase option had been negotiated in the lease with Eintracht. Last week came a strange message from the German sporting director, but now it looks like a “happy ending” awaits the Glimt supporters.
“It’s a bit strange that they negotiated a purchase option (in the lease), which they could either use or not. The amount has been set, and that’s what we want,” a puzzled Eintracht sporting director Timmo Hardung told Kicker last week, when the elite league club had again turned up at Eintrackt to negotiate.
On Monday, VG reports that it was not that complicated. Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodø/Glimt have reportedly agreed on a permanent transfer for Jens Petter Hauge.
Then it will work out. “The club’s big son” returns to Aspmyra to write more history in the yellow Glimt shirt. We love it!
