Next season will not be like the previous one. “For a long time it looked really bad for Leeds, but then towards the end of the season the points came a little closer. Leeds finished 14th in the Premier League.
Leeds United are considering their options in the summer transfer market, and an exciting free agent is at the top of their wish list.

The Whites are desperate to strengthen their squad after securing a place in the Premier League. An impressive turnaround midway through the season helped Daniel Farke and his team salvage their place – but no one at the club will settle for just survival.
Europe seems easier to qualify for than ever before in the division, and to get there, reinforcements are needed.
The goalkeeper position is still a problem after Lucas Perri has not quite convinced. At the same time, talks are underway with Karl Darlow about a new deal, as his current contract expires at the end of the month.
The attacking line also needs more depth and quality. Farke wants more options – and one of the names on the block is a very familiar face.
Leeds revive interest in Harry Wilson
It was only a year ago that Harry Wilson was almost ready for Leeds United. Negotiations had gone a long way in the final hours of the summer transfer window, but at the last minute the deal unraveled.
What happened next was that the Welshman found the form of his life. He delivered ten goals and seven assists in the Premier League – and for a period was among the very best in the division.
At the same time, his future at Fulham was uncertain. His contract expired in the summer, and now he looks set to become a free agent. Leeds hope to strike.
According to Ben Jacobs, Wilson is back on the club’s radar, and preliminary talks about a transfer for the 29-year-old are already underway. But Leeds are not alone. Aston Villa and Benfica are still interested, along with a number of other clubs.
A transfer could prove to be huge for Leeds. Wilson was described as “unbelievable” by Marco Silva during his time at Fulham – and that’s exactly the kind of x-factor Leeds need.
The question is whether the club can finally reach a deal this time, after being so close last summer.
The attack needs breadth – and more can disappear
Leeds made it through last season with summer newcomers Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha in the squad. But behind that trio, the options were thin.
Daniel James, Wilfried Gnonto and Joel Piroe all struggled to make much of an impact in their limited minutes. If interest in them increases, a sale could be on the cards – and Leeds could be looking for upgrades in the same positions.
Wilson would definitely be an upgrade. Jacobs also adds that Julian Brandt is a target – he has already announced his exit from Borussia Dortmund as a free agent.
Who else might be on the radar remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: Leeds must press on now.
