With just over a week left in the transfer window, Liverpool are still without the big signings. Signals in Paris suggest that there could be a breakthrough in negotiations with PSG for Bradley Barcola and/or Ibrahim Mbaye, but this is clearly something the Premier League club does not intend to take for granted. Because on Thursday, a bid from Liverpool is ticking in for a Brighton winger.
They are Yankuba Minteh, the 22-year-old with 9 goals and 8 assists in 66 Premier League games. The Gambian international was brought to the seaside resort of Brighton from Newcastle in 2024, last season the right winger was a regular in Fabian Hürzeler’s starting eleven.

According to The Athletic , Liverpool have submitted a £50m bid for Minteh, but Brighton have plenty of experience with desperate big clubs, so the bid has been rejected.
Minteh suffered a leg injury and is expected to be out of action for two or three months. The 22-year-old has signalled he is very eager to pull on the Liverpool shirt if the clubs agree, it is reported.
