One of England’s most up-and-coming international players has an “office” at St. James’ Park. Anthony Gordon has had a rocket development in the Newcastle shirt after his transfer from Everton in 2023. The left winger/striker has a speed, energy, technique, finishing and mentality that has made several of the biggest clubs line up to secure the 25-year-old. Now it is reported that the England international is opening the exit door.
The BBC reported last week that Newcastle without a Champions League ticket for the coming season will have to sell at least one of their crown jewels in order to give Eddie Howe the means to strengthen the squad. Gordon cost upwards of £45 million, and the 25-year-old has seen a solid increase in market value in recent seasons.

According to The Telegraph , the protagonist himself is ready for an exit this summer. The 25-year-old has not presented it to the club management yet, but is open to considering the alternatives, it is reported.
And it should not be on sale. On Monday, German Sky Sports reported that Bayern Munich had flashed Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon as a strong candidate to further strengthen Kompany’s attacking machine. According to the Times, the 25-year-old’s representatives have already been in contact with the Bayern management.
But it is at Liverpool that things are really set in motion. This week, Hugo Ekitike was carried off the pitch with an injury that could sideline the Frenchman for at least nine months. This has accelerated Liverpool’s previous plans to sign Gordon. According to Teamtalk’s sources , Liverpool are ready to bring the outspoken Liverpool fan Gordon to Anfield this summer.

Newcastle expect up to £80 million to release their attacking star, a sum Bayern Munich are not willing to meet. If Gordon wants to join the club he has cheered for growing up, then Liverpool are probably willing to do whatever it takes to secure the type of player they have been missing this season.
