Exactly one year ago, Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva lost their lives in a road accident. A tragedy that has affected the whole family, but also a united Liverpool. The Portuguese player will now have a memorial at Anfield.

A commemorative plaque was unveiled at Anfield, it bears the name “Forever 20”, in reference to Jota’s Liverpool shirt number.

“The memorial pays tribute to their lives, their bonds, and the love and respect that family, teammates and fans around the world feel for them,” Liverpool wrote.
