24 games for HamKam, 44 for RBK. Then transfer to Lillestrøm in 2023 for six games and two loan stays. This is the status of Sam Rogers when the American leaves Norwegian football and moves to Chicago Fire FC and MLS. Earlier this month, former U.S. national team coach Greg Berhalter brought in Philip Zinckernagel after Bodø/Glimt season, and on Tuesday the club signed a Lillestrøm player.
– We would like to thank Sam for his efforts in LSK. He is a very professional player who unfortunately did not get the career we all hoped for in Lillestrøm. He has always had a dream of being able to play in MLS, and we are happy that he now gets that opportunity, says LSK’s sports director Simon Mesfin to the club’s website.
The contract expires in 2026 with the possibility of extension. We wish Rogers the best of luck on his journey.
