When Hull City sensationally promoted to the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Bristol City in the play-offs, the players and supporters were completely in the clouds. It has been an absolutely fantastic journey, with three promotions in five years, the last for the first time in the top division in England. Then it was a bit of a setback to be told that the club risked starting the Premier League season with minus points. It has been a race against the clock, but that too was won.
Hull City had pressure to sell players to avoid breaking the so-called PSR rules, which look at the last three annual accounts. This assignment has now been solved. BBC Sport reports that the sale of Pandur to Rangers and Shehu to Panathinaikos means that the Hull gang is now staying within the rules. In other words, this means that they do not get a point penalty.
