Ruben Amorim has had a good turnout at the press conferences before Sporting’s matches, but after it became clear that the Portuguese will be Manchester United coach from mid-November, it has taken off completely. On Tuesday, the whole of England will turn their eyes to Lisbon to see what they have in store.

Amorim and Sporting will then welcome the Portuguese’s upcoming city rival in the Champions League. Before the game against Pep Guardiola, Haaland and the City gang, Amorim will of course be asked questions with a link to the Man United job.

-My focus is to win the match for Sporting. The conclusions after that are not the most important thing to me because they can be wrong. If we win tomorrow (against City), they will think that the new Alex Ferguson has arrived,” the future United manager begins, according to The Independent.

“It will be very difficult to live up to. It may raise expectations, but I don’t think about that,” says the Portuguese.

Which probably understands he is entering his last two calm and “normal” weeks as a football coach. A win against Manchester City on Tuesday doesn’t hurt to have in your luggage.
