Sander Berge got to experience playing alongside what has become one of Sheffield United’s great club legends. The Norwegian international wore the Sheffield shirt for 75 games together with Billy Sharp. On Sunday, the 40-year-old sends word that the timing to retire is now.
He is described as a goal machine. Billy Sharp is now putting his boots on the shelf after a wild 299 goals, 77 assists and 813 games in his career.

Sharp grew up in Sheffield, over the course of three spells and thirteen years, the striker hammered in 129 goals in 377 appearances in a Sheffield shirt (two of the seasons in the Premier League).
For the last two seasons, Sharp has played for Doncaster Rovers (was part of promotion to League One)
“The boots are coming off, but the memories will last a lifetime. Thank you, and let’s roll out the next chapter,” he writes on his Instagram profile.
