Tottenham Hotspur have been given the opportunity to sign a top striker for free this summer.

Spurs have already completed six signings: Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Martin Dúbravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali – for a total of over £220 million.

But the north London club are still looking for more reinforcements. A huge bid is in the works for Kroupi – despite the fact that Bournemouth do not want to sell. At the same time, Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign one of the world’s most famous names.

Tottenham offered Dusan Vlahović

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham have been given the opportunity to sign former Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović as a free agent.

Vlahović, described as “one of the world’s best strikers”, recently left the Serie A giants after his contract expired. He is now looking for a new club – ideally in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old is attracting a lot of interest from Turkish Beşiktaş, but Spurs are monitoring the situation closely as they consider their own attacking options for next season. Richarlison is expected to leave the club, and Randal Kolo Muani has left after his loan spell ended.

Kroupi still the top goal

Kroupi is still the club’s main target in the striker position – which could put any interest in Vlahović on hold. However, with the Serbian available as a free agent, he could be a bargain – especially considering the huge expenses the club have already had in this window.

Vlahović – an excellent plan B

Dominic Solanke is currently the first choice – and only senior striker – in the Spurs squad. But if De Zerbi gets through for Kroupi, the Frenchman is expected to be first choice. Solanke will be excellent competition and offer a different profile.

However, Vlahović has a far better goal average throughout his career, and is a hybrid between the two – with both physique and technique.

The biggest challenge will probably be the salary level – and the fact that he will not be automatic starts. But if the Kroupi transfer does not go through, Vlahović will be a far more relevant option.

Keep an eye on this case as long as he is without a club.
