Arsenal finally made it

Arsenal have put an end to a 22-year wait for the Premier League title. After they were confirmed as champions for the 2026/27 season, the jubilation can finally be unleashed.

Manchester City only managed a 1-1 draw away to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. That means the Gunners are now four points ahead with one game to go. The six-year trophy drought is over – and fans have every reason to fill the streets of north London.

But it doesn’t stop there. The club directors also have something to cheer about: Arsenal are going to make huge sums of money by winning the league.

Arsenal earn more than Liverpool last year

As part of the Premier League, Arsenal are guaranteed a base fee of £96.9 million – the same as all other clubs in the league get. That sum consists of NOK 29.8 million from the national TV agreement, NOK 59.2 million from international TV rights and NOK 7.9 million from central commercial agreements.

However, because they win the league, Arsenal also receive a bonus of £53.1 million for finishing on top. That alone makes a huge difference.

In addition, they get a larger share of the TV money because they have been shown a lot throughout the season. That sum is likely to be between £24.9 million and £27.4 million – and it typically goes to the teams that have been sent most frequently.

Expecting a new record

Last year, Liverpool brought in a staggering £174.9 million in total to win the Premier League. Arsenal received 171.5 million as runner-up. But this season, both sums are expected to be beaten.

According to the Daily Express, the calculation looks like this for Arsenal: 96.9 million in guaranteed share, plus 53.1 million for the league gold, plus between 24.9 and 27.4 million from the TV deal. In total, that brings in between £176 million and £178 million straight from the Premier League – before adding some extra bonuses from external sponsors such as Emirates and adidas.

This is how the money is distributed in the rest of the league

While Arsenal’s total will be the highest in Premier League history, other clubs also earn large sums of money based on where they finish in the table. (NB- There may be small changes on Sunday)
