Before the World Cup finals, Thomas signed a contract extension with the English Football Association until 2028. Then came the decision to spend half a half with primarily defenders on the pitch, to secure the 1-0 lead against Argentina. In other words: Give the best player in the history of the world the freedom to spend half a half in attack with his football magic. Lionel Messi thanked him for the gift. Of course, it ended in a loss for England.
Tuchel has shown he has made several excellent player choices and substitutions earlier in the championship, but unfortunately for the German, it is the latest fade against Argentina that means “everything”. The interesting thing is, of course, that the world’s best/second best coach is fired up for the job.

According to journalist Jack Gaughan, Guardiola has already confided to his close friends that the job he wants to continue is the England national team.
-I don’t think we will see him in club management, although he tends to change his mind quite quickly. There was an Instagram post from his eldest daughter the other day, as he took his farewell moment at Co-op Live and through the streets of Manchester. She wasn’t just talking about City, she was talking about football in the past, which to me seemed very much like a retirement letter. But he has told friends that he would like to see England in the future, so if things were to come together, it would be something to look for,” the English journalist said on Sky Sports News.
