A few hours after Tottenham saved their place in the Premier League with the 1-0 win over Everton, Roberto de Zerbi said the supporters could look forward to next season. Some top signings await here. One of the promotions Spurs are making is against the Manchester City player they wanted in January.
“Next season we will build a top, top, top team. We don’t need to change too many players in the squad, but we do need to bring in some players from the very top shelf,” De Zerbi told the BBC at the weekend. Earlier this winter, various English media reported Tottenham were in talks with Manchester City about signing Savinho, now the London club is back on track.

The 22-year-old has 84 appearances in the Manchester City shirt, with 7 goals and 16 assists. This winter, the Brazilian extended his contract with City, but Tottenham don’t take this as an obstacle. According to hyperactive transfer journalist Romano, Spurs have now resumed negotiations to sign the extremely technical winger. The first talks are underway, with Savinho himself said to be open to a move to Tottenham, in what could be a £60m transfer.
